UK royal weddings just like many other practices by the British elite are “monstrous lies” that are intended to deceive the public, says a scholar in London.
Dr. Rodney Shakespeare, a London-based university professor and political analyst, made the remarks discussing the wedding between Prince Harry and US actress Meghan Markle.
More than 2,000 members of the public attended the ceremony in the streets of Windsor in England on Saturday.
The wedding has been estimated to cost British taxpayers a staggering $45 million (£32 million) by wedding planning service Bridebook and American news website Business Insider.
“A royal wedding is part of the apparatus by which the critical elite ensures that the population is kept away from reality,” Shakespeare told Press TV on Sunday.
