Tech Tats: Biometric tattoos monitor your health and location
Chaotic Moon, a start-up company known for its different and fun projects, is developing a new tattoo technology that can have a variety of applications. The technology is called "Tech Tats" and is literally stick-on embossed tattoos, as they contain electronic components, including a microcontroller and LED.
CEO Ben Lamm called the technology the "new wearable", stressing that it could be a more permanent version of FitBit and other fitness trackers. These tattoos, for example, can detect if you are stressed, control your body temperature, pressure and pulse and transmit all the data through their electrically conductive paint.
Of course the applications of this technology do not stop here. You will be able to use the technology to locate your child in a crowded place and in the future you may even pay for your transactions, such as Samsung and Apple Pay. It can also be used by the military to check the condition and location of a soldier.
At the moment the technology "Tech Tats" is under development, while there are several companies that deal with technological tattoos.
